General Care Tips
- A little bit of tender loving care will go a long way toward enhancing your enjoyment of your furniture and protecting it from harm
- Do not place your furniture in direct sunlight or near to direct heat
- Do not sit on the armrests or the tops of the backrests–they are not intended to be used for seating
- Take care when moving furniture. Do not pull or push furniture; if furniture is to be moved, it must be lifted, even when on smooth surfaces. To move furniture, do not pull or push the armrests of sofas and armchairs
- For living room tables, always use coasters to prevent damage. Blot spills immediately, and be especially careful with solvents, perfume, alcohol, and nail polish. Do not put items on your wood or marble tabletop that can scratch it. It is best to use felt pads under objects. Do not place wet objects on your marble or wood tabletop as this will cause damage. Never use plastic or rubber to protect your wood furniture for these will react with the finish and permanently damage it
Leather
- Regularly vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove dust and dirt and finish by wiping with a soft dry cloth
- We recommend using high quality products for the cleaning of the leather. Be sure to carefully follow the instructions of the manufacturer. If you are in doubt, first try the product on a hidden part and wait at least 24 hours for the occurrence of any problems
- Do not clean with aggressive products and cleaning solvents. Household detergents and cleaners not made for leather cleaning can damage the leather
- Blot spills immediately. With a clean, damp white cloth, use cool water (avoid hot water, which can set a stain), and blot the stain from the outer edges inward to reduce the chance of a stain ring. If the stain is oil or water based, blot the area again with a clean white cloth, repeat as necessary
- Remove gum and wax by placing a small plastic bag of ice on it. Wait for the gum or wax to harden and then gently chip it away. Repeat as necessary and blot any residual stain with a clean, damp white cloth
- For any spills and marks that do not come out immediately, seek professional help
Fabric
- Refresh the fabric by gentling brushing it with a lint brush or soft brush. Brush pile fabrics lightly with a stiff bristle brush to remove minor stains and regain the original appearance. Do not rub or use excessive force when brushing

Synthetic Leather

- Take special care not to rub when cleaning spills and stains on Ultrasuede, as it can ruin the material’s soft nap
- Remove gum and wax by placing a small plastic bag of ice on it, waiting for the gum or wax to harden, and then gently chip it away. Repeat as necessary and blot any residual stain with a clean, damp white cloth

Marble
- Use protective pads for items placed on marble surfaces
- Wipe up spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth
- Avoid ammonia, bleach, alkaline and acidic liquids and cleaners because they can break down the marble’s protective sealant
- Remove surface stains with a product such as StoneTech Stone & Tile Cleaner by Laticrete. Follow the directions on the container, including spraying directly on the soiled area and wiping it with a clean, dry cloth
Wood
- Use protective pads for items place on wood surfaces; keep rough and sharp objects away from wood surfaces
- Maintain consistent humidity in the space to prevent excessive expansion and contraction of wooden pieces and joints
- Dust wood frequently with a soft, slightly damp lint-free cloth, and then wipe dry
- Maintain oiled veneers by very lightly brushing wood areas in the direction of the grain with a fine Scotchbrite pad, which will open the wood’s pores and remove fingerprints and dirt. Follow this by applying a recommended oil, wiping off excess oil with a soft, dry cotton cloth, smoothing in the direction of the grain
- Use waxes and oils as recommended for each furniture piece to maintain moisture and provide a protective coating. Apply these products only to the piece’s wood and veneer parts, always testing first on an inconspicuous spot
- Avoid using abrasives, harsh chemicals, and aerosol-powered cleaners on finishes and veneers
- Wipe up spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth to avoid absorption
- Repair minor stains, scratches, and water rings by rubbing the surface lightly in the direction of the wood grain with No. 000 steel wool, and then applying a scratch-removing polish with a color and value that simulates the veneer
- If surface scratches are deep, consult a professional furniture refinisher
Metals
- Steel, aluminum, and painted surfaces must be cleaned with a soft damp cloth with hot water. For persistent stains, a small amount of liquid soap. diluted in water, may be used. Immediately after cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth
- Never use cleaning products such as chlorine, bleach, and other strong detergents. It is not recommended to use abrasive creams, score pads, and abrasive sponges that can scratch the metal surfaces
